Every year in January, FIRST announces a new game which is shown to us during Kickoff. After that, we have six weeks to design, build, and program a robot that is capable of completing the necessary tasks.
Every year, we build a robot and participate in a statewide competition. There are several groups that specialize in multiple categories to help contribute to the team; Build, Coding, Marketing, Fundraising, Outreach, and Media. The build and coding teams work together to create a functioning robot. Marketing works in designing the team’s logo, shirts, posters, and other merchandise. Media and Outreach work before, during, and after competition to spread the word about us and to help us connect with other teams. Lastly, Fundraising is in charge of gathering the funds to make all of this possible.
